Madonna e Kylie Minogue, Love Sensation (Afterhours Mix): ecco il duetto delle due icone pop

Dopo quello con Prince e quello con Britney Spears, finalmente Madonna è tornata a regalarci un duetto con un’altra leggenda della musica pop, Kylie Minogue, questa volta sulle note di Love Sensation (Afterhours Mix). Se nei primi vent’anni di carriera la regina del pop è stata piuttosto restia nell’incidere brani con colleghi, dal 2008 ha invitato in studio di registrazione tutti i nomi più in voga del momento, da Justin Timberlake e Nicki Minaj, a Maluma, Anitta e Sabrina Carpenter, adesso però ha donato ai fan quello che volevano da tempo, una collaborazione con un’altra artista con una carriera grande quasi quanto la sua.

Le due cantanti lo scorso giugno, in un programma condotto da Graham Norton, hanno parlato della loro esibizione del 2024 con I Will Survive di Gloria Gaynor al Celebration Tour e poi hanno lasciato intendere che sarebbero tornate a cantare insieme. Il conduttore inglese ha chiesto loro se avevano registrato un duetto per il disco Confessions II. La Minogue ha fatto una faccia di chi vorrebbe dire qualcosa ma non può e la Ciccone ha detto chiaramente che il suo compito è quello di essere misteriosa e non rivelare sempre tutto. E infatti, proprio come avevano intuito milioni di fan, è finalmente uscito un singolo delle due icone del pop.

Madonna e Kylie Minogue hanno appena rilasciato Love Sensation Afterhours Mix, una nuova versione del brano che la regina del pop ha presentato lo scorso aprile ad una serata nel locale LGBTQ, The Abbey, a Los Angeles. Se già il pezzo originale era tra i migliori, tra i più immediati e orecchiabili di Confessions II, questa nuova veste lo rende ancora più irresistibile. Anche la scelta della canzone non è stata affatto casuale, in Confessions II non c’era un’opzione migliore per Kylie, per la sua voce e la sua attitude.

Speriamo che questo duetto aiuti anche il nuovo album della Ciccone, che dopo aver debuttato alla numero 1 nella Billboard Hot 100 ed essere sceso alla 31 in tre settimane, adesso è scivolato alla 114ª posizione, addirittura sotto a dischi usciti oltre 14 anni fa come Born To Die di Lana Del Rey (in Italia per fortuna è ancora alla 18ª posizione). Quindi ascoltiamo Madonna e Kylie Minogue con Love Sensation Afterhours Mix, ma anche tutto Confessions II, questo album merita il nostro supporto.
