Lizzo costretta a cambiare il testo di una sua canzone dopo una polemica

Lizzo è stata “costretta” a cambiare il testo del suo ultimo singolo Grrrls dopo la raffica di critiche ricevute. Questo perché all’interno del brano la cantante pronuncia la parola “spaz“, ovvero “spastico“. Un termine che nel 2022 stona molto con tutto ciò che è politicamente corretto ed inclusivo. E se a cantarlo è una donna, afroamericana e portavoce del body positive stona ancora di più..

“Non ho mai voluto promuoverlo [il linguaggio discriminatorio, ndr] sono una donna nera e grassa in America. Sono stata presa di mira molte volte da persone che utilizzavano un linguaggio discriminatorio contro di me. Quindi comprendo il grande potere delle parole (se utilizzate intenzionalmente o come nel mio caso involontariamente). Sono orgogliosa e fiera di aver modificato il testo di ‘Grrrls’, perché voglio fare parte di questo cambiamento“.

Polemiche a parte la sua About Damn Time continua a macinare ascolti e vendite.
