“È ufficialmente la stagione dei Grammy Awards 2024! La Recording Academy annuncia oggi la data di messa in onda dello show, che si svolgerà domenica 4 febbraio alla Crypto.com Arena di Los Angeles. I candidati di quest’anno li annunciamo oggi.
Quella in arrivo è la 66esima edizione, i Grammy Awards 2024 andranno in onda in diretta sulla rete televisiva CBS e saranno trasmessa in streaming su Paramount +.
Tre nuove categorie debutteranno nel 2024: Miglior performance di musica africana, Miglior album jazz alternativo e Miglior disco pop dance. Queste nuove categorie fanno parte di una serie più ampia di aggiornamenti e modifiche, che entreranno in vigore immediatamente ai ai Grammy Awards 2024, volti a rendere la manifestazione “più giusta, trasparente e accurata”, secondo il CEO della Recording Academy Harvey Mason jr.
“Ogni cambiamento è stato creato esattamente con questo in mente: apertura, trasparenza, equità”, ha affermato Mason jr in un’intervista. “Ogni cambiamento che intraprendiamo viene fatto per rendere il tutto più giusto, trasparente e accurato. E quando troviamo cose che possono essere migliorate lo facciamo, ora siamo nella posizione di poter apportare tali modifiche, per fortuna””.
