RuPaul è entrato nella storia americana grazie all’ultimo Emmy Awards che ha vinto, diventando così l’artista afroamericano ad aver vinto più Emmy di sempre: 11 in totale!
Giunto alla sua 73esima edizione, gli Emmy Awards hanno infatti incoronato RuPaul’s Drag Race come miglior reality show della stagione, premio vinto per il quarto anno consecutivo. RuPaul ha poi vinto anche (per la sesta volta consecutiva) il Creative Emmy come miglior conduttore di un reality.
All’evento RuPaul si è presentato con Michelle Visage e le due finaliste della tredicesima edizione, Symone e Gottmik.
