MTV Video Music Awards 2025: esibizioni e vincitori

Ieri sera dalla UBS Arena di New York sono andati in onda gli MTV Video Music Awards 2025. Sul tappeto rosso hanno sfilato alcuni grandi nomi della musica e tante nuove leve, così come durante la serata sono state omaggiate icone del pop come Mariah Carey (che ha vinto il premio Michael Jackson Vanguard) e Ricky Martin (che ha ricevuto il Latin Icon), ma hanno trionfato anche molti giovani artisti.
Le vere regine degli MTV Video Music Awards 2025 sono state Lady Gaga e Sabrina Carpenter, entrambe hanno vinto ben tre Moonman e hanno regalato al pubblico due tra le esibizioni più belle della serata. Bene anche Ariana Grande, che è tornata a casa con i premi per Video Of The Year, Best Pop e Best Long Form Video, grazie a Brighter Days Ahead, il cortometraggio diretto da Christian Breslauer e dalla stessa cantante.
Per quanto riguarda le esibizioni, degna di nota la passeggiata performance celebrativa della diva delle dive, Mariah Carey che durante una lunga camminata ha intonato alcune delle sue hit indimenticabili, brava Tate McRae, una tra le esordienti più complete (ma parlare di Britney 2.0 è una bestemmia), promossa anche la Carpenter, performance deliziosa e con un bel messaggio in supporto alla comunità trans. C’è poi un’artista che ha giocato – ancora una volta – un campionato a parte, Lady Gaga con Abracadabra e The Dead Dance ha ricordato a tutti cosa significa essere una vera popstar. In un mare di mediocrità e con le leggende del pop in letargo, dobbiamo davvero ringraziare la Germanotta di essere ancora in piena attività e di continuare a fare arte.
