Bandaids, ecco il nuovo singolo di Katy Perry

L’ultima era di Katy Perry ha collezionato più critiche e polemiche che buoni risultati in classifica (se ce ne sono stati), 143 nonostante sia un buon album pop non è andato affatto bene, così come i quattro singoli che sono stati estratti. Il flop del disco fortunatamente non ha scoraggiato Katy, che lo scorso aprile è partita da Città del Messico con il suo The Lifetimes Tour, che invece è un grande successo, praticamente tutte le date sono sold out e in questi giorni ne è anche stata annunciata una il prossimo luglio a Lucca. E proprio durante la prima tappa italiana a Bologna, la Perry ha rilasciato una breve anteprima di un nuovo video, Bandaids.

A sorpresa Katy ha pubblicato un nuovo singolo prodotto da Max Martin e da Greg Kurstin (l’uomo che è dietro a capolavori come Easy On Me, Burn e What Doesn’t Kill You Stronger). Il nuovo pezzo della Perry è una ventata d’aria fresca, così come lo è stato Never Really Over sei anni fa. In questo caso però la popstar canta di una storia al capolinea, di delusioni, del suo cuore spezzato e di come anche questo amore finito male abbia dato qualcosa di buono e si capisce a cosa si riferisce, visto che nel video appare una margherita, chiaro riferimento alla figlia Daisy, avuta nel 2020 da Orlando Bloom.

Dopo un progetto non azzeccato, Bandaids potrebbe essere una buona ripartenza per Katy Perry, che – ricordiamocelo – non è certo l’ultima arrivata o una miracolata, ma una signora che ci ha regalato numerose hit e uno degli album più validi della storia del pop.

Carine le varie reference del video musicale, come quelle del film Finché Morte Non Ci Separi e l’inserimento di Woman’s World sul finale, pochi istanti prima dell’esplosione. Viva l’autoironia.
